THE STIMULATE BUREAUCRACY BILL

The battle over the recent “stimulus” bill has had at least one good result – the middle class community has recognized the nature of the struggle and galvanized behind those who will support them. Furthermore, the great bulk of the Republican politicians in Washington seem to have learned the lesson at last – that if they do not accept their role as the guardians of fiscal responsibility and support first and foremost the small businessmen who form the true and most important core of their support, they will lose. Only three Senators, less than two percent of the GOP legislators in DC, voted for the pork. On the down side, the bill passed and the socialist bureaucrats have expanded their power.

Small businesses drive our economy. Any legislation involving the economy that does not improve the fortunes of this most vital force in our marketplace will inevitably lead away from true stimulation and there can be no doubt about it. In spite of this, all the discussion, at least from the Democrat side of the aisle, emphasizes Big Government and Big Business.

So powerful is our tradition of free individuals innovating new products that we have managed to keep making progress despite ninety-five years of increasing socialism. The attempt to erode our system began with the passage of the sixteenth amendment enabling income taxes and the inauguration of Woodrow Wilson, the first American President to try setting up the graft machine on a national level and to espouse the internationalist vision of the socialist left. It continued with the twelve year economic failures of FDR, and became solidified under LBJ. We turned things around some under Ronald Reagan and Newt Gingrich, but lost our way under the Bushes and Tom de Lay. The Middle Class Megaculture does not really follow partisanship, because if any party or politician espouses big government, including the Republicans in the United States or the Conservatives in England, that person or group has become overly influenced by Socialism.

If the politicos in DC wanted to turn things around, there are two measures which would immediately stimulate the economy. First, we must lower corporate income taxes from the current 35% to somewhere around 10%. This would make us more competitive with the rest of the industrialized world. It is especially important to enact such legislation because that is about the only thing the Feds can do to help small business right now, although it would help big business as well. Indeed, even with this current over-taxation, our small business mentality out-produces most other modern economies. With this one act we can overcome the failures of the government banks like Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Indy Mac, as well as the manipulations of Bondsian billionaires like Madow and Soros, and recapitalize our economy. Even at 10%, the net revenues to the government might increase due to a resurgence of the marketplace.

Second, we must end the inheritance tax on family farms and small businesses. This would have some shot term stimulative effect, in that it would also encourage investment. More importantly, over the long term, this would keep family held enterprises moving at top speed by guaranteeing that they could go expanding on without fear of the premature death of one of the principals. It would greatly lessen the need for non-productive maneuverings with lawyers and accountants and bureaucrats. Long term confidence like that which this action would enliven trumps all else in the free market.

President Obama has no vision to do any of this. His multi-trillion dollar program only benefits big government bureaucrats, a few big businesses, and others who usually remain hidden in the background, because the Main Stream Media do not often expose the shadowy figures behind the bureaucracy. The provisions of some of his regulations may lessen the income of executives, but will not lessen the incomes of lobbyists like Senator Daschle’s wife, big city political contractors like Tony Rezko, organized crime bosses like Carmine de Sapio, government oriented speculators like George Soros and Richard Blum (Senator Feinstein’s’ husband), or any others who get money out of the now four trillion dollar graft machine. President Obama has all sorts of friends in Chicago, like Emil Jones, Jesse Jackson Jr., Todd Stroger and Richard Daley who also stand to profit mightily from the President’s programs. Small business and the middle class will not.
